Kopi Luwak

Kopi Luwak coffee has a very unusual origin unlike any other coffee bean. The luwa denizen ( an animal of the cat family) of the coffee plantation of Java, Sumatera, Bali. Eats only the ripest coffee cherries. Unable to digest the coffee beans, the luwak graciously deposits them on the jungle floor where they are eagerly collected by the locals. The stomach acids and enzymatic action involved in ths unique fermentation process produces the beans for the worls rarest coffee beverages. the benefit of civet coffee able to raise up our stamina, and safely for the stomach disease because of low acid.

Luwak/Civet

Luwak is a species of civet cat endemic to South East Asia. Also known as the AsianPalm Cat, is a rare cat-like mammal natural inhabitant of the mountain rainforest in South East Asia. The civet’s eat only coffee berries and other wild fruit in the jungle.Coffee cherries are eaten by a civet for their fruit pulp.

After spending about a day and half in the civet’s digestive tract the beans then defecated in clumps, having kept their shape and still covered with some fleshy berry’s inner layers. They are gathered, thoroughly washed, sun dried and given only a light roast so as to keep the many intertwined flavors and lack of bitterness yielded inside the civet.
